HOME OF THE VIERA HIGH SCHOOL HAWKS WRESTLING TEAM!

The Viera Hammers Wrestling Club is the home of the Viera High School boys and girls wrestling teams.

The Viera High School Wrestling Program is an interscholastic high school athletic team competing in the FHSAA (Florida High School Athletics Association) the governing body for high school sports in the State of Florida.

FHSAA Wrestling consists of four divisions based on school population (1A, 2A, 3A, and Girls) and is comprised of over 430+ high school wrestling programs competing each year for the State Championship. The Viera High School wrestling program competes in the 3A boys division and the Girls division, which are the two largest divisions in the state.

Over the past few years, the Viera Hawks Wrestling Teams have been consistently ranked among the top teams in the state.

During the 2024-2025 Wrestling Season, the Viera Hawks Wrestling Program saw success with the boys team finishing 26th in the state and the girls team finishing 6th in the state. The Hawks wrestling team completed the season with 7 state qualifiers and 6 state place winners, including Brevard County’s first ever girls State Champion.

The Viera Wrestling program also experienced accomplishments at the national level this past season with their first ever High School All-Americans. Out of 7 Viera Wrestlers competing at the National level, 2 members of the Viera girls wrestling team earned All-American Honors at the NHSCA Senior Nationals in Virginia Beach, VA (National High School Coaches Association).

In a field of over 64+ competitors in each division, from all around the country, the girls finished in the Top 8 in their respective weight divisions. In addition, one of our girls wrestlers earned National Ranking status becoming the #25 ranked 135lb female high school wrestler in the entire country.

Both All-Americans will be graduating from Viera High School and moving on to wrestle at the collegiate level in the NCAA.

To date, several members of the Viera Wrestling team have gone on to wrestle and compete at the collegiate level, including the NCAA, NAIA, and NCWA. Numerous Hawks have received multiple academic and athletic scholarships to compete at the next level.
