The Viera Hammers Wrestling Club (VHWC) is home of the Viera High School Hawks boys and girls varsity wrestling teams.

The Viera High School Wrestling Program is an interscholastic high school athletic team competing in the FHSAA (Florida High School Athletics Association) the governing body for high school sports in the State of Florida.

FHSAA Wrestling consists of four divisions based on school population (1A, 2A, 3A, and Girls) and is comprised of over 430+ high school wrestling programs throughout the state of Florida. Each year, these teams compete for the Florida State Championship.

The Viera High School wrestling program competes in the Boys 3A Division and in the Girls 1A Division; both of which are the two largest and most competitive divisions in the state.

Over the past few years, the Viera Wrestling Teams have been consistently ranked among the top teams in the state; with the boys team consistently ranked in the Top 25, while the girls team remains steadily ranked in the Top 5 teams in the state.

The Viera wrestling teams have won multiple District and Conference Championship Team Titles between them and have produced numerous State Qualifiers and State Place-winners, including State Champions.

The Viera Wrestling program has also accomplished accolades at the national level with numerous wrestlers qualifying for national tournaments and events. Viera Wrestling has had wrestlers earn All-American Honors at the NHSCA (National High School Coaches Association) Nationals in Virginia Beach, VA; as well as in other major tournaments and championships.

To date, numerous Viera wrestlers have received academic and athletic scholarships to compete at the next level.

Several Viera alumni have gone on to wrestle and compete at the Collegiate level, including the NCAA, NAIA, and NCWA.
